It was crown as one of the hotels of distinction in Asia in the 'Orient Express' magazine, is a tribute to the elegance and opulence of the long gone colonial era but the hotel serves modern features and amenities like wireless internet in all of the guest rooms, coffee & tea making, TV with movie channels and cable channels and also personal in-room safe for guest to enjoy. We are a 48-room first class boutique hotel that consists of Studio, Deluxe and Suite rooms to cater to different type of clients, maintaining the personal warmth, exclusivity and comfort of a English home. Our restaurant, Casa Mediterranea, serves very authentic mediterranean and italian food to cater to all tastebuds. Reasonable pricing, good quality food and the superb cooking make the restaurant a worthwhile place to dine in. The hotel maintained the facade of the old Straits Chinese trading house and yet it's interior reflects modern and elegant furnishing. From the warm glow of the European chandeliers to the french glazed windows in the elevator to the spiral staircases in the Duplex Suites to the double glazed windows within Berjaya Hotel Singapore, these details undoubtedly add character to each exquisite room and suite. Located within the Central Business District along Duxton road around the Tanjong Pagar, the nearest Tanjong Pagar MRT is just a mere 5 minutes walk away so is Chinatown which is just few streets away by foot. Both Suntec Convention and Exhibition centre (Suntec City) and HarbourFront centre is located only 10 minutes drive by car or taxi. Getting to the main shopping belt of Orchard road is also only about 10 minutes by MRT. Within the hotel vicinity are many restaurants of international cuisine, wine bars, eateries, supermarkets, convenient stores & local food centres as well.
